Lianhuo (G30) Expressway is the main national highway that runs through the east-west of my country's "five vertical and seven horizontal" highway network. It starts from Lianyungang, Jiangsu in the east and ends in Horgos, Xinjiang in the west. The Jiangsu section has a total mileage of 235.7km, a designed speed of 120km/h, four lanes in both directions, and a roadbed width of 28m. The total length of this asphalt pavement overhaul is 111.258km, mainly carrying out on-site cold regeneration, milling and resurfacing, bridge deck treatment, and overall covering of the pavement.
XCMG's ultra-wide paver RP2405 and roller XD133S, these two high-performance equipments jointly appeared, drawing a new chapter of efficient and precise construction in the paving of the 4cm thick asphalt top layer. Applying XCMG's digital intelligent construction cluster and high-precision Beidou positioning technology, the RP2405 paver uses satellite positioning sensors to determine the center point of the road width and accurately locate the rolling area. With its super strong operating capacity and advanced and reliable product performance, it can accurately achieve one-time paving and forming on the high-speed road surface.
Several intelligent XD133S double-wheel rollers start the road compaction work after the paving process, echoing and cooperating with the paver in terms of process performance. The compaction process follows the principle of "following and slow pressure" and uses equalizing technology to start and stop softly according to the planned path to avoid problems such as underpressure and leakage. The average Martens compaction of the road surface reaches 99.8%, the average theoretical compaction is 95.8%, and the flatness reaches 0.52mm, which not only improves the service life of the road surface, but also enhances its bearing capacity, ensuring the comfort and safety of driving.
Since the second half of 2022, XCMG's complete road machinery has participated in the construction of Lianhuo Expressway many times and has been recognized by the owner. The smooth progress of the Lianhuo Expressway asphalt pavement overhaul project is a comprehensive upgrade of the existing pavement and an important test of construction equipment and technology.
